| Aww! Hobbits and horses! Sweet! And the stable is so very Rohirric! God bless, Galadriel Author Reply: LOL! Two of my favorite things ... horses and hobbits! I did my research on that stable. I knew pretty much how I wanted to describe the Royal Stable of Edoras, but double-checking some of the details gave me another excuse to watch ROTK ... again. LOL! Due to his growing need to take care of Frodo and watch out for Gollum, dear Sam sort of forgot about his beloved Bill the Pony for a little while there. But, at least that was one happy ending to the story when Sam and Bill were reunited once more, as we all know. Thank you for reading/reviewing, my dear Queen. ~Elemmírë~ | |

| Shadowfax makes a great guardian - he has taken the hobbits under his care. Author Reply: Shadowfax just kind of trotted his way into the story when I was writing it. He knows how much Gandalf loves the hobbits and over the course of the War and its aftermath, he came to know and love them just as much. I hope to write a longer hobbit/Shadowfax tale in the future--it's been on my idea list for a while now and I love horses (and hobbits)! Thanks, Bodkin! | |

| Cute chapter! Good also in that later chapter about Frodo grieving that Elrond would never see his daughter again - what a heart our dear hobbit has. (BTW, I hope Dreamflower takes you up on that little plot bunny you deposited at her front door re: the chain. You do come up with the most interesting ideas, my dear!) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Thank you, as always, Antane! :D Once Frodo learned of the parting of Arwen and Elrond, I think his guilt would have started to present itself more so than before, thinking their parting was his fault. (I hope Dreamflower takes in that little plot bunny too ... I hope she read that you liked it too) Aww, thank you for the compliment. | Yes, Bill isn't easily forgotten and it must have torn at his heart to leave him before Moria. Author Reply: Bill was like the tenth member of the Fellowship to me. He was the silent partner that worked behind the scenes and helped carry the packs, shielded the hobbits from the harsh winds of Caradhras, etc. When I picture Sam, surrounded by horses in Edoras, I see him missing faithful Bill more than ever now that his mission helping Frodo was accomplished. Sam was elated when he learned Bill made it back to Bree, of course. Thanks! :D | |
