A wry smile crossed his face as he realized that though he had done all he could to protect the child, he had failed to protect his heart. I do like your shorter tales. Every word is carefully thought out and they are a real treat to read. Author Reply: Thank you. I do try to make each story a great one. I don't always succeed, but I did like how this one turned out, and I'm glad you did too.

Erestor did not have a chance, he melted like butter. Alway knew he was a softie. Liked that part about putting a rug at the bottom of the stair. Author Reply: No, Erestor didn't stand a chance of resisting little Estel. Who would? :) I'm glad you liked the story and the little details that I included.

Oh, Misty. This is a wonderful story. You did a great job of capturing both Erestor and Estel. It would be so hard for an elf to risk loving a mortal, but how could they resist loving Estel? Especially the way you portrayed him! Very nicely done and it fit the prompt perfectly. Author Reply: Thank you. I do think that elves would be likely to try to protect themselves from the pain of loving mortals, but you're right. No one could resist little Estel. I'm glad you liked the way I wrote both characters. Thanks again.

I think I need to protect my heart from your stories(sniff) Author Reply: Oh, I certainly hope not. I like touching people with my stories. :) I'm glad you liked it.

This is simply too adorable. :-) I love stories about Estel when he was young. Author Reply: Thank you. I love writing them, so that works out very nicely. :)

Aww...this was lovely. I'm afraid it would have been all too easy to lose one's heart to such an adorable little sweetie as tiny Estel must've been. The Elves of Rivendell would soon all be wrapped around his tiny finger. Author Reply: Thanks. I agree that little Estel must have been quite irresistable. The elves would never know what hit them. ;-)

Oh, I love this! I'd started chuckling when I read the title, but my chuckles turned to delighted smiles as you led Erestor into his trap. Imladris may now be childproof, but its inhabitants never will be. Thank you for this lovely word picture! Blessings, Mum Author Reply: Trap? I don't know that I'd quite call it that. :) But no, Erestor didn't realize what was happening until it was too late. And showing that the heart is not childproof was exactly what I was going for. Thanks for the review, and I'm glad I could put a smile on your face.

This is sooooo sweet! And that final line is just perfection. Author Reply: Thanks, I had that last line before I had most of the story, so I'm glad you thought it fit so well.
