Awww...this is cute! LOL! I can just see Pippin pinned under that huge puppy! But who gave it to him, and what's Frodo going to do? God bless, Galadriel

Poor Pippin, apparently stuck with this mountain of a dog, and now having to find some way of dealing with it. So, will Frodo now approach Aragorn and gift it further to him, or was the King the source of it? Interesting dilemma, of course. And the idea of trying to keep it out of the food is delightful, as are Pippin's gloomy imaginings of what will happen if he can't get the thing off his lap. And love the tea and Frodo not finishing it as he goes on his errand of mercy.

But he doesn't have to hang on to the gift for too long, does he? Considering it's alive. He can pass it on to another worthy recipient. A certain tall Dunadan comes to mind - I'm sure he could do with an oversized puppy. Or maybe the Steward - to keep him company until he can wed Eowyn.

I've been reading Dreamflower's stories about Dora Baggins, and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this. I can imagine Pippin having a way with dogs, given his kind and loving nature. It's funny, though, to picture him trying to give commands to a creature that even as a puppy towers over him. What if it were a full grown German Shepherd or Labrador Retriever (or the Middle Earth equivalent)? You did a fine job with this one, Lindelea. Thanks for posting it!

I know I left a review already but I have just thought of something. In the Shire wouldn't Pippin's large puppy be rather like Clifford the big Red dog eventually? LOL

I wonder what Frodo will do about this. LOL I can just see Pippin and the giant puppy. Seems large, heavy things are always falling or sitting on Pippin. Wagons, trolls, really big dogs, trees..... hehehe Now, I wonder who thought to give Pippin this really big puppy. Looking forward to more of this.

*giggle*grin* You already know I *adore* this, but I thought I'd say so again! And I see I'm not the only one who wants to know how Pip came by the pup, and what Frodo will do about it... *grins some more* Miss Dora did indeed leave a rather difficult conundrum, didn't she?

Oh, to be continued, I hope? Pretty please? So delightfully begun. I remember when my now grown very tall son was a year old and a neighbor had a Saint Bernard. My lad was eye-to-eye with the gentle beast's tail! i can just picture that one, or something like an Irish wolfhound, laying on poor Pippin! I would love to see how Frodo handles this....who do they find to give it to...How many of them does it take to walk him to his new home... All kinds of possibilities here!

Puppy!! Sorry, where was I... Ah, yes. This is great! I love it when two authors' stories intertwine, and it's delightful that hobbits all know and can quote from Aunt Dora's wisdom. I hope there will be more? *looks hopeful*
