"My hobbit" ;-) So, every cat has a hobbit of his or her own, I believe? Well, I would like to be a cat, then :) I enjoyed reading your "Wanderer" stories very much, and I like the idea of a chess playing cat. I certainly can understand how Wanderer feels. I remember a day when I won a game against my brother - not chess. He asked for a revenge and brought out the chess board. And he won, as he does always with chess! Very good strategy to avoid losing, though. Always play the game you're best at ;-) Author Reply: Yes, indeed, every cat must have their own hobbit to be happy, wouldn't you say? being a cat would be fun in the Shire, plus you'd get pretty good food! I'm glad you like these! *heh* Well, chess wouldn't be my game if I were to play what I'm best at! That sounds like something my brother would do! lol! God bless, Ellie

Having actually won games on occasion against better players who failed to look far enough ahead on days when my tendency toward ADHD was more under control, I appreciate how Frodo feels as well as Wanderer's confusion. And Sam is bewildered, but willing to appreciate almost anything of his Master and his Master's cat. Author Reply: Yeah! I've never won a chess game unless my opponent was distracted. I'm really bad at it! Sam is definately confused by this cat, don't you think? God bless, Ellie

Wanderer is a lovely companion for Frodo... and I have no doubt he would beat *me* at chess! :D Author Reply: I'm sure he'd beat me too! I really like chess, but I'm SOOO bad at it! :) God bless, Ellie
