| Please don't say anything about late replys - I'm so terribly late in reviewing, even so terribly more so than usual (bangs head on keyboard). RL is pinning me down right now, too. So, there are two old ones - I had not thought of that AT ALL!! giggles stupid rodent... makes perfect sense, but I had to read it over twice :-) I'm still in a hurry, so I will just say that I loved this chapter (as always) - those moments when Legolas could just about reach Aragorn were very moving. I could so feel the frustration when Legolas sensed Aragorn but could not get through the door. You could suggest to Legolas that he might try using Fierthwain's head as a battering ram - he is just about thickheaded enough that it might work... might do him some good, too, grmmf. Hugs, your rodent Author Reply: Now you see her bushy tail, now you don't. That's Red Squirrel - zipping in and out for a quick visit! Lol! Oh, Rodent - I can imagine how pressed for time you must feel. I wish this 'other life' would leave us LOTR fanfic writers and readers in peace for a while, sigh.... Still, I'm glad I could hear from you, or I'd miss you too much. :-) Maybe WE could use Fierthwain's head to ram down those obstacles called Work and Studies. And speaking of hard heads - well, Fierthwain's rock-like-stupidness isn't going to let up just yet, as you'll see in the next chapter. See you then, my dear rodent. | Beautiful poetic writing .You conveyed the horror of Aragorn's isolation and the strength of Legolas' devotion brilliantly.This story hasbe gripped. Author Reply: Thanks, Linda. | Well, everyone is in despair and there seems no hope for Aragorn--but his friends will not give up, especially Legolas, who seems very tired but determind.They all have to wait for Celeborn and Elladan, but time is running out for all of them. There was a little comfort for Aragorn when Legolas' soothing song reached him but the darkness was held at bay for only a moment--that was so sad! I hope that Aragorn holds onto the fact that his family will never let the darkness take him without a fight.I'm looking forward to the battle for Aragorn's very spirit! No typos to report, Legolass.You're stories flow so easily and I find myself leaning forward, literally on the edge of my seat, whenever I read one of your cliffy's :D BTW, I'm reading this on my brand new, shiney computer after my old one died from a lightening strike.I had no internet connection for three days.Now, that is like living in a dark hole, believe me ;D Update when you can, Legolass.I'll be waiting, as always. | That is just what Legolas and Elrohir need right now, idiots with sharp, pointy weapons. I wonder if Fiorthwain and company would mind if I took their bow and arrows for a while. I would like to get a little imformation out of Lord Celeborn. Who by the way needs to get a better map, he seems to have gone to the wrong place. Poor Estel, no light, no hope, a body that is not with him. Shhh, slip him a couple of candles, whan no one is looking. Author Reply: "idiots with sharp, pointy weapons." -- that just about sums them up, those fools. :-) But go easy on Celeborn - he didn't go to the wrong place - he went back to the City thinking Aragorn would be there, and besides, the White City IS on the way to the Paths from where he was riding. | Ooh! *spooky and dangerous music choes around the paths to the dead!* I am so glad that Aragorn is getting come comfort - even if only a little. And yet another twist! | wow - you are the absolute queen of all things scarily suspenseful... poor Aragorn - needs more than a flashlight, a spotlight would work - maybe..... And poor Legolas - just want to stroke his pretty little head and tell him it's gonna be ok ( all the while holding a gun to the author's head just to make sure. Nah, not really, but he would appreciate the guesture...)please help our guys, they tend to suffer so in your hands ..^__^ Author Reply: Lol - I guess I am a sadist sometimes, as most fanfic authors are. But then isn't that what you come back for? :-) Anyway, the image of you holding a gun to my head tickled me... let's see what I can do for them next chapter... may not be much. | The chapter was worth the wait. It's good, no visible typos, really. Though I hope they find Celeborn soon. Poor Aragorn...
