| I love these letters! They are so sweet and friendly. And Sam's spelling is certainly improving. So sweet of Frodo to compliment him on that and confiding his fears of being in the water again and Sam assuring him he'll do fine and signing one of his letters Your Samwise. Brothers already! | These are so cute! I love the time-frame you have chosen to explore, the year after Frodo went to live with Bilbo, and Pippin being a new baby, and little Merry. Frodo's letters are so gentle and interested in Sam, and I love Sam's efforts to improve his spelling. Adorable. Author Reply: Thanks! | I am sure that Sam is right about trusting Frodo more than Merry. Bilbo has been a good influence, not to mention Sam himself.
