| absolutely delightful! Of course, they would not keep the important things from each other. And elves were supposed to be close to, and in tune with animals ! | *ROTFL* Poor Elladan, he *had* to misunderstand this! But in this, I'm with Elrohir - I'm talking to my horse, too, though not always so nice, as she can be very stubborn. But I am sure elven horses are not as naughty as our horses and Elrohir *has* to adore his horse, as he is the one who loves them most. Author Reply: My son used to tell our dog how beautiful she was - and she'd look up with an expression that said 'Yes, I know'. Poor Elladan, though. Elrohir won't let him forget this! | |

| Was this an accidental overhearing...or did Elrohir plan to embarrass his brother like that? Either way, it was so funny - poor Elladan couldn't believe his ears!!! Nor could he believe his brother had never told him about this new love of his life! Is Elrohir still carrying a 'tendre' for that maiden in Mirkwood? I can't remember her name... These are terrific little snippets, Jay! I enjoy them immensely! Linda Author Reply: Oh, it was quite accidental - Elrohir had no idea that Elladan was there, or that he'd misinterpret his words so spectacularly! The elleth from Mirkwood is Taniquel - and only Elladan realises how deep Elrohir's feelings for her are. He doesn't even know it himself yet. I'm glad you enjoy these. This one was great fun to write. Poor Elladan! | |

| I'm with Elladan here - Elrohir!! That is too much affection for a four-legged female - even one with hair like silk. (Is Elrohir still attached to that elleth from Mirkwood? Or is that only in one story arc?) Author Reply: I loved shocking poor Elladan like that! And now he feels guilty for having such suspicions of his twin. Taniquel is still around, but the twins don't go to Mirkwood that much now. Elladan has always thought that Elrohir's feelings for her are much deeper than he realises though. One day I'll do a Fourth Age story where they meet again ... | |
