If you were trying to make this chapter more poignant in the re-write, you succeeded. I would think Elestelle might have a connection to both Fara and Aragorn, Fara of course because he's her father, and Aragorn because he saved her life when she was born. Elbeth and Fara were both very brave and thus succeeded in saving their King when many others would have given him up for dead.

Well, it's about time there was some improvement in Aragorn's condition. Faramir has been so good to him, and has now saved his life again... Great interlude with Arwen and Eowyn and the two fey babies. Eowyn must have been going nuts, shut up in there with them, the only one who wasn't psychically caught up in Aragorn's struggle with death. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Aragorn as to survive,as much for Faramir's sake as for Gondor's as the poor man is trying so hard ! I think Eowyn finds it very trying on occasion to be the only one who isn't gifted with mystical Elven and Numenorean abilities. Not that I think she would want such a strange gift.

I like Eowyn's practical response. Nothing like a good cup of tea when crises rear their ugly heads. Poor Faramir. It's doubtless a good thing the Elbeth is around. He'd probably give in to despair without her. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I think Eowyn must be English at heart, I always reach for the teapot too in a crisis. I found Faramir's anguish quite hard to deal with even though this is a rewrite and I know what happens !
