Hi Littlefish Re MEFA Nomination Just a quick reminder that your story still needs to have the form filled in. When you've done that, could you let me know that you're happy with the form and then I can set your story to "nomination complete". I can see you have worked on the form but you only have until this Sunday afternoon to complete it and get back to me. Excuse me writing here, but I was worried you had not got my email. Thanks a lot! Liza (llinos)

This was rec'd by Marigold and I had to stop by--wonderful story! I'm a Pippin fan myself, so I admired his Legolas-saving heroics and loved that scene when he's left behind to watch their baggage, Pippin bored and angry and annoyed and yet oh-so-Pippinish. Some other things I loved: Malek was a great eeeevil villian. Truly scary. And Arwen was magnificent--I love that she refused to be left behind.

Great plot, great dialogue, and everyone is in character. The re-introduction of Galadriel's star was unexpected, but made perfect sense. Up until that point, I had wondered how you were going to defeat Malek.

I know that this story is a bit old, but it's still one of my favorites. I first read it on ff.net, but unfortunately, can't seem to get its stupid review windows to work properly, thus I was ecstatic to find it posted here. It's really just such an awesome story, the drama is both touching and edge of the seat wondering what's going to happen next, and the action is just marvelous. I especially adored your portrayal of Pippin (and he isn't even one of my all time favorite characters), and everyone else was just wonderfully in character as well. Overall this was, and always will be, a lovely read, and certainly an excellent reread (again and again and again).

Terrific story! I'm so glad I found this when you already have the sequels written! I'm looking forward to it. Great action, and I loved how you gave the reactions of all the characters. And you switched perspectives so that we'd know what was going on with all the characters throughout. I loved getting those bits of humor that you managed even in the most dire circumstances, like the way Gimli and Aragorn got Legolas to talk. LOL! I did wish to see more of Legolas's recovery; it seemed glossed over a bit. But perhaps you didn't want to focus on that. I'm just a sucker for recovery and closure scenes. I'm so glad there's more. Ready to go on to Hostage of Hate! monica
