Poor Faramir - he's giving all he can, but Aragorn is very frail. I do like Elbeth. I think they might have cracked without her. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I find these chapters hard to write with our poor heroes suffering so much.I'm pleased you like Elbeth as OC's are always something of a gamble, but she keeps wanting to be in the story !

Oh my goodness, poor Aragorn, so tormented by his ordeal that he convinces Fara to carry him outside just to see the sky. I wish Arwen as well as Eowyn were there to help heal and console their men. But I think Elbeth did a very good job of helping Fara with Aragorn and even with cheering the King, at least a little bit. Nice to see she takes after her uncle's side of the family and not her horrid mother's. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I found this pretty heartbreaking both to first write and then revisit.Aragorn was always so srong and in the past, he tried to get Faramir to come to him.THese two need their wives more than ever now.Elbeth is the one bright spark in the gloom.

Heartbreaking yet hopeful chapter. Aragorn's desperate need to see the sky is very realistic, and so sad. It hurts the reader as well as Faramir to see that Aragorn is repulsed by the idea of Faramir carrying him, yet the wounded King has no other way to accomplish his goal. Very poignant. The former friends are in a bad place right now, physically and emotionally, but there is hope at least for Aragorn's recovery. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Having got so far with the next story I am finding it so much easier to read this one again. I know what it feel like when 'something gives way' in the back. Poor Faramir.
