I like little Elbeth on the horse. The man killed in cold blood? I reckon this was a battle of a different kind - and he more than deserved his fate. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Yes, the man deserved his fate as he had coldlt trtured Aragorn. I'm pleased you enjoyed Elbeth's part.

Ugh, lots of torture for both our Steward and our King there, but it is some comfort knowing Aragorn's wounds are getting dressed properly. Nice bit with Elbeth and the horse at the end, to inject a little cheer after all that angst. She certainly did deserve a ride as a reward after all she has done to help her uncle and her "Strider." As someone who was born not too far from Banbury I love the title of this chapter Linda. Elbeth seems to be coping with the many changes in her world. Strider is, at least, a constant presence. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I fear I've never been to Banbury, but a friend used to live there.Elbeth is a resilient child, thank Goodness.
