At least in dreams there is some happiness - because there's not much when they're awake. They're both in a pretty bad way, one way or another. They need to get back to their wives for a bit of TLC and talking-to before they attempt to sort out the monarchical mess! I reckon Elbeth could make mincemeat of them at the moment - if she was that way inclined! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I used the dreams to link this story to the one I wrote on impulse for Christmas last year. Our heroes are indeed in a right mess.A good job Elbeth is on their side !

Again, big comforting hugs going out to Fara and Aragorn for this chapter. I was glad that Fara finally got to tell a bit of his side of the story, how Arwen herself asked him to play the traitor in order to rescue Aragorn, though of course Aragorn doubts his veracity, and will continue to do so for quite awhile. Misery loves company, and there's plenty of it to go around between Aragorn and Faramir. Good thing that Elbeth was sleeping soundly. I really feel bad for both the guys, but especially Faramir; he's saved the King at the price of his own honor, and all he gets is the King's distrust. But it's understandable, Aragorn is not exactly himself... Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I fear our heroes are drowning in misery at the moment. It is hard to know who is suffering the most.
