Oh, this is coming together nicely! LOL, little Pippin is quite proud of his growth spurt, isn't he? I'm almost feart for young Merry--I can see his semi-grown-up world building up for an embarrassing fall later on, with chokolit at it's root. I'm sucked into this brilliant tale nonetheless, so on I go...

Imagine not having any chocolate! I don't think I could stand that. LOL It looks like Merry and Pippin have a plan now thanks to Frodo. LOL Pippin is determined to win Merry over and it looks as if he is on his way now. If the plan works, that is.

Pippin's mangling of words is great! And it isn't overdone either, you do it just enough for it to be sweet! I really like how Merry slips on occasion in his attempts to appear to be grown-up. I think that is very realistic, exactly how a child his age would act, especially one that folks have so many expectations of. I like the way that the foreign cousins have Merry feeling a bit out of his depth, feeling he needs to impress them. The fact that these relatives from far away appear to be so exotic gives a very clear picture of just how sheltered and unworldly Shirefolk are. The love that Merry has for Pippin is obvious, whether Merry himself yet understands the depth of it, and Pippin's adoration for Merry is perfectly conveyed!
