| Wonderful story! In fact, Pippin's way is the only way to eat an "or-gange" properly! No knife needed, really. But I did not know that those tiny orange seeds were called "pips". "Merry Yule and Orange Pips", indeed! Thank you very much, and happy Holidays to you and your family! | |

| I love the fact that Merry didn't spoil it by letting Pippin know that he'd had an orange before. I also liked all of the little details about Merry and Pippin friendship that are in the story. Pippin was determined to wait and share with Merry. That is so sweet and so very Pippin. Now, I have a strange question for you. In the portion of the story where you are talking about cutlery you mentioned something called a 'pusher'. What is a pusher? | |

| I am so pleased that you posted this story here! It has been a while since I read it and I love it just as much as when I read it the first time! You have captured both Pippin and Merry perfectly. Pippin's curiosity and loving nature really shines through and Merry is thoughtful and responsible while still clearly a child himself. The way that you depict their relationship is just fantasic, and so realistic. The dialogue is just exactly right too! I really wish that you would write more! What about a sequel, with the two of them enjoying the fruits of their organge tree? | |

| What a lovely story! I love the little bits of childish delight woven into the chapter--like Pippin nearly getting run over in his excitement to greet Merry, and the indulgent uncle (practically foreign, himself!) with the children, and Pippin saving his or-gange for Merry, and inventing a new way of eating oranges, and all the little details, like the handful of currants and the tables all set already and not-to-be-disturbed, and the treats all over the place but none to be had immediately. I'm suddenly feeling a lot more holiday spirit! | |
