Phew. It seems as if the Lord of Lossarnach has found himself twisted in a scheme not of his making and is doing his best to help them get away. And they'll be safe soon ... well, back with their wives anyway. And stand a chance of physical recovery. Three cheers for Elbeth.

I liked how this chapter showed Fontos' thoughts a bit, as it allowed us access to the mind and motivations of one of the traitors, albeit a bit of a reluctant one. I don't really like Fontos any better, but I hope his making the right decision and letting Aragorn,Fara and Elbeth go helps him a bit when all the punishments are handed down. I also hope they get to that farmhouse soon, as both men desperately need the solace of their wives, and Aragorn needs the skills of a trained healer like Eowyn, though Fara has been doing the very best he can to tend to his King, and even Elbeth has been able to help. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I wanted to make the traitors more than cardboard cut outs. I think Fontos is weak and cowardly rather than evil. Let us hope they encounter no more obstacles on the way !

This is definitely better Linda even though I liked it a lot before. Sorry this is short - stealing time on my Ded's lap top. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm delighted to get comments of any length and thrilled that you feel the polishing is worthwhile !
