Glory? M'mm. Security, maybe. He's spent too long standing against the irresistible, poor man, and I think protecting Gondor was his first thought. But then, I do like Boromir! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I never liked Boromir in the books, the films made him like him better, then too many wonderful Boromir fanfics, turned me right off him! I do like the way you portray him though and pity the poor man.

I hope that these aren't YOUR last thoughts on Boromir as well as you write him well. So sad that he is still doubting himself to the very end. This is one scene in the film that I liked even though it really was a cinematic closure device. Happy 2007 one and all. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I have to admit I feel I don't know Boromir well enough to be certain what his last thoughts would be. I found the scene moving too in the film. Wishing you a very happy 2007 too !

Alas, Boromir; it is a question to be wondered at. Although I think in the end Boromir would have borne with Aragorn accepting the Winged Crown. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I just don't know about Boromir as in an earlier version, I believe Tolkien had him fight a dual with Aragorn !

A very well-written drabble. Even a fellow non-Boromir fancier like me could not help but feel some pity for him. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you could pity poor Boromir too.

How sad that it takes his own approaching death to render Boromir introspective, willing to question himself. At least he seems to know he did right to urge Aragorn to go to Minas Tirith and save Gondor in his stead. Good drabble! Author Reply: Goodness, that was quick.I had only just pressed the show button !Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you liked the drabble. I was thinking of Fafner the dragon, who is wise when dying !
