I looked at the picture after I read the story... wow. That was beautiful, and I can totally see Faramir in the little one, and the sadness in Finduilas' eyes, haunting.

Lovely story to go with the picture.

This is an incredibly beautiful moment. The picture is perfect for your tale. I wish the artist had made Faramir's hair black, but the sight of Boromir sleeping so peacefully at his mother's feet is at once beautiful and heart-breaking.

I love these lines and wonder how much Boromir was truly burdened... besides Denethor's need to have a warrior for Gondor. Sad.

'What trouble can come nigh when Boromir is vigilant? My son will chide me when he awakens, for allowing him to be lax in his duty to guard me and his brother while we are abroad. He has worn himself out in guarding me this day! He knows I am troubled, I deem. He senses my burden, and believes I fear a physical enemy -- therefore he is ever watchful, that no bad thing approach me.'

Too much burden for one little boy.... *sobs quietly*

Ah! What a moment for her, to find at least one place, apparently high on the mountainside where she can feel peace.
