I loved this - we tend to forget that even Gimli has a Mum somewhere, fretting and worrying. Bless her for putting in those extra socks - and the salted pork too. “Now, Nandi, don’t get your beard all knotted. *snert* Any man who can say that to his wife - and get away with it........... Author Reply: Loving mothers are the same the world over, aren't they? Thanks for reading and commenting!

Mothers are alike no matter what kindred they belong to. *giggles* Always a little extra for the journey. Author Reply: *giggles with you* Yes, always a special little treat for their darling.

I love the title! Proving that mothers are the same everywhere, especially where the youngest child is concerned. Poor Gimli is used to the fussing, no doubt. don’t get your beard all knotted I admit that I still can't deal with the women having beards, though people have shown me the references in canon. Gloin is so going to be in trouble... Author Reply: I keep hearing Gimli's line, in John Rhys-Davies' voice: "Thhhrrree pairrrs, motherrrr, and the extra hood, toooo..." Hahahahaha! *wipes tears* Bearded women, of any kind, distress me somewhat, but I suppose it can't be helped. Glad you enjoyed this!

Mothers are mothers, aren't they? Love it! Author Reply: And none of them are any different, in the ferocity of their love for their sons. Thanks for reading and commenting!

There is just something about a guy telling his wife not to get her beard all in a knot LOL... Author Reply: Oh, I've always got to get the lady dwarf's beard in their somewhere! It's part of the fun.
