What an observant young hobbit Pippin is! Such depth to see beyond the surface. I love what he felt Boromir learned from them, and how he thinks they helped keep him grounded. He was such an honorable man, and it's such a pity that he had to die. :O( Author Reply: I'm glad you see that in my writing. Always thought of Pippin as being much sharper than people think initially. Pippin was not a dummy! He was only young and impulsive. He loved Boromir, I don't doubt it, just as Merry did, tho9ugh I do think Pippin was a bit closer to Boromir than Merry was...still, the three were good friends, yes, and I think they did keep Boromir grounded. He was a very honorable man, and I hate it that he died, too...but something so sad had to have a good reason to happen... | |
