I think Seraphine might have found a friend, too! Two very-highly born ladies in an alien environment - it must act as a draw between Arwen and Seraphine. Plus they are both extremely intelligent and would find it irresisible to learn more about each other and their very different cultures. And the cunning plan proceeds!

I am really enjoying this Elendiari. Unfortunately RL is keeping me from reviewing at present. Author Reply: No worries, I completely understand. :) Thanks for reading! ~El

Truly enlightened parents as well as teacher. A most proper handling of the affair, I must say. Author Reply: Oh, good! I am really hoping that this all comes off as believable. ~El

I love what you've written of this story so far. Aragorn strikes me as the type of leader we could use today - one who is open to new ideas, rather than being too attached to the old way of doing things. He spent a great deal of time traveling around Middle Earth, and his son seems to have inherited some of that innate desire to learn. It speaks well of the ruler he'll become when it's time for Aragorn to step down from the throne. I wonder how long it will take Eldarion to realize he has an 'official' tutor - somehow I don't think they'll be able to fool him for long. Thanks for a great tale thus far - looking forward to reading more! I also imagine that the upper classes of Gondor are steeped in ancient tradition (and I think pre-Revolution Versailles when I think of Gondor), and that he has to be really open in order to get things done. I don't think Eldarion will be fooled for long, though I doubt he'll say anything. :) Thanks for reading! ~El

Arwen's evaluation of Seraphine is quite astute. I like the plan they've made between them--a few months of "trial" before she becomes "official" will be good. Eldarion will be eager to have her teach officially by the time that comes about. Author Reply: Yes, I think that keeping him in suspense about his future tutor will heighten his like of the princess's lessons, so that in the end he'll probably request her. ~El
