Wonderful! Childhood memories like that would indeed be dear at such moments. Aragorn had such a difficult life. It is good to think he had such memories to sustain him, and having been raised where he was, of course he did. Author Reply: Aragorn and Gilraen may have been the only humans in Rivendell, but I'm certain he would have been loved and nurtured there. I love to imagine the twins as doting older brothers :>)

How sweet! Author Reply: Thank you! I like to show the twins as loving older brothers to Estel/Aragorn.

Ahhh! I love to think of Elrohir's wisdom and maturity offering comfort to Estel - and his words returning to support the adult Aragorn through his trials. Aragorn so needed the strength of his big brothers. He was so alone as an adult - thank goodness he had 18 years of having Elladan and Elrohir encouraging and teaching - and loving - him. Author Reply: I'm sure the twins drew on their years of experience - and also their own darker moments - in supporting Aragorn. They knew the loneliness he would face.

I really like that, Jay. It's wonderful to have such memories to draw on during difficult times. I love the image of Aragorn and Elrohir sitting together and watching the stars together. Thanks for sharing! Author Reply: I see Estel as very young here - probably not long after he arrived in Imladris. He and the twins were just getting to know each other, but their influence lasted. Thanks for reviewing!

Nice pair of drabbles. The twins were always there to comfort their 'litte brother' and even now later on in his life they are still a comfort for him. Lovely. Author Reply: I like to write the twins with little Estel and show them in a 'big brother' role. As I wrote the first part, I knew there had to be another where Aragorn remembered Elrohir's words at a time of great darkness and fear - and where better than Moria?

A sweet pair of drabbles. Author Reply: Thank you. They were fun to write - I like to look at the relationship between Elladan, Elrohir and Estel.

That's really sweet, Jay. And also true. Author Reply: Thanks. I like to write the twins as protective big brothers - and to have Aragorn remember that comfort.
