Ah, tricksy, tricksy, father and sonses here! And Eldarion and Miriel both learn a bit more about a different culture. Lovely details.

I'd be laughing silently, too! And Eldarion has roped his sister into this exciting learning process, as well. And proved he has a pretty good grasp of how to get people to do what you want. Clever boy. And he's even done homework! And sent it off to Sam Gamgee for his perusal! I love the range of topics they absorbed here. Completely painlessly.

This was adorable. I loved Eldarion's sneaky handling of his little sister, and their fascination with the henna and the tales of Harad. And it was so cute the way Eldarions wrote to Sam! I'd love to "see" that letter, and Sam's reaction to it! Author Reply: Our young prince is already well versed in reverse psychology. Uh-oh. :) Maybe we will see the letter, or one like it. Could be fun.

Oh, Eldarion, if you only knew... I've had experience with henna tattoos (well before I got the real thing) and it was interesting to see the process by which henna is made. Great chapter! Author Reply: He walked right into it, didn't he? Thanks! ~El

Learning you want to do is the best sort. Shame it takes some of us a lifetime to find out. Author Reply: Yeah, it really is a shame. ~El

Eeeee, I'm enjoying this so much, El! Seraphine is so delightful and charming, and her interactions with the royal kids delightful. Love Eldarion sending the recipe to Sam: it's great to see the Fellowship is still close. :) Author Reply: Good, I'm glad you like it! I think the Fellowship must be like having a lot of uncles spread out all over Arda, for the kids. And I'll bet that the rest of them have no problem with corrupting Aragorn's kids thoroughly. :)

I keep meaning to leave a review to this, but keep forgetting to. Not this time. :oD This is such a delightful little story. Elda's original tutor reminds me of some of the teachers I had once upon a time. The ones that are structured and regimented make for the worst. They end up killing the desire to learn and make it a chore. Not something to be enjoyed. Something your Haradric Princess has not forgotten at all and I adore. Everyone should have a teacher like that. Loved how Elda got Miriel down to the Lady's House. Tricksy indeed. It runs in the family after all. ;o) Looking forward very much to the next chapter in this lovely story. :o) Author Reply: Thank you! The best teachers I had during the mandatory school years were the ones who made their subject interesting. If you take all the fun out of learning, there is no point to it. I'm glad you like the story! ~El

There's something so lovely about the idea of Eldarion sending Sam recipes! This is just delightful, and I feel as if I'm 'seeing' a new culture in the same way the children are. Author Reply: Yeah, I have a great line somewhere about hobbits that I need to incorporate. I like that the Fellowship stuck together.
