Engage brain, Aragorn. What good would it have done either of you if Faramir had refused in revulsion and you were both tortured and killed? Or is that too obvious to grasp? And learn that when Faramir says something hurts 'a little', it means he's a whisker away from falling apart. Stoicism is his middle name. Right alongside 'everything in the world that goes wrong is my fault'. Author Reply: Thank you for your much appreciated review. You are spot on about Faramir. He is too stoic for his own good at times.

Very sad that Aragorn cannot bring himself to forgive Faramir, to reach out to him with the friendship that has sustained them both in the past. The guys both need some therapy; but Middle-earth doesn't have psychiatrists, and Gandalf, the nearest thing to it, is unavailable. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Yes I agree our poor heroes need some therapy, but only time will tell if anyone or anything in M-e will help. They need to learn they can help wach other !
