Ent-romance! Treebeard is very poetic about Fimbrethil here - I daresay that, had he said such things to her, she would never have left him! Perhaps they will be reunited. Author Reply: Yeah, he probably assumed she "knew" he loved her and he didn't have to say it. Men! LOL

Ah, hope springs eternal in an old Ent's heart! Keep the faith, Treebeard...Hal did see that walking tree, after all. The last line is lovely. You seem to have got the hang of this drabbling thing! Author Reply: It's actually a lot easier than coming up with a whole fic! LOL Thank you so much for the kind comments!

Oh, what a wonderful lament for Treebeard to sing! Author Reply: Thank you!

Aw, so sweet and sad. The Ents and the Entwives do have a tale of sorrow and hope, and I like to imagine them finding one another again. God bless, Galadriel Author Reply: It would be nice, wouldn't it? Tolkien said in a letter that the Entwives had likely all been killed in the Second Age...but then again, Sam's cousin did see that "walking tree". So there's always hope! Thank you for your kind words!

Lovely! The sentences are slow, and considered. They really do sound like Treebeard's thoughts. It very nicely expresses the ambiguous sense that Tolkein left us with concerning the Entwives. Treebeard did not know, and except for the hint that where they once lived was now called "The Brown Lands," no one else knew, either! Treebeard can be difficult to write. You have done him well. Author Reply: I'm so relieved! I've never even attempted to write the Ents before, and I probably never would have if not requested. Your kind comments are *very* appreciated!
