And one silly Sam and one silly Gollum. :) Isn't it wonderful that he can laugh and not feel guilty that he didn't do it? Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: For a moment, anyway. (sigh)

I don't remember if I commented on this at LJ--I had a lot of interruptions this morning! But I couldn't just let this lovely snippet pass! It's so very much in character for both of them, from Frodo's first question, to the "swat" at the end. Of course Frodo would want to know why! Lovely job, and a conversation that *must* have taken place at some point in time! Author Reply: Those are my favorite kind to try to imagine. Thanks for the comment, it's much appreciated!

Marvelous, Rowan! I love the jesting between the cousins and Pip swatting Frodo! Wonderful! Author Reply: Awwww...'twas fun. I enjoy writing banter. :-)

What a lovely scene! In total agreement; Frodo and Sam (and the follower-cousins) are equal to an army of 5,000. Easily. Perhaps more. Author Reply: I know which I'd rather have. :-)

Yes, all it took was one Baggins and one Gamgee with enough gumption and perseverence and endurance between them for 10,000 Hobbits or Men! Heh! Love the interaction between the "silly Baggins" and the prince of a Took! Author Reply: They are both so fun to write. :-)

I love that! I can just see Frodo's disapproval - and Pippin's cheeky response. And Pippin's right, too! Frodo, aka Five-Thousand-Swords. (It sounds quite Rohirric as a title. Perhaps Merry should suggest it to Eomer.) Although, considering Sam's input, perhaps Frodo should share the 5000 out with him. Author Reply: Glad you liked it! I'd rather have one silly Baggins (and one loyal Gamgee) than 5000 swords any day...
