| “I must go to Edoras, Boromir, as heir, and do my duty to my people. I will not, however, forget Faramir, nor be inconstant in my attention to his welfare. However, Indis is with him - and he has his Uncle Imrahil, who is most devoted to him. I am putting aside my own regret at not being able to be next to Faramir for the rest of his life, but understand that, even if you still lived, you would not be able to do that either. Duty calls us to different paths.” Ah, I see. That explains much. And I was wondering what happened to Théodred. he isn’t mentioned in the last chapter or two. “I liked Aragorn very much. You would have too.” T. doesn’t know he is Aragorn, I think, and I suppose Boromir does eventually love Aragorn, and presumably liked Thorongil in a two year old sort of way. Oh! He burns the letter! That actually makes it more meaningful, somehow. I do like them dying within a day of each other though, especially if they were brothers-in-arms and good friends. | |

| So this part of your saga is finally over. A commendable effort, the juggling of so many plot threads and characters in a coherent narrative is no easy task. I look forward to the sequel and seeing what you do with the future of this AU. Author Reply: I could have killed the Muse everytime she brought another character into this - another plot - but I have lived through it - only slightly unscathed. Thanks for being here for the ride! I can't wait to write - but must finish Denethor first - or at least TA 3017 - talk about convoluted!!!! | |
