| Very good protrayal of their love for each other. Love the idea that Merry is Pippin's first memory and it was love at first sight for them both and that they died more or less together. | I can't see these two long surviving one another any more than I can see Frodo and Sam doing the same. And they knew the joy of reunion at the last before Aragorn could join them.
