This is such a telling line. Very nice indeed. 'I need no introductions to tell me which is the bearer of the burden.' Author Reply: "Hmmm...could it be the one who looks the most tired?" :-) Seriously, I do think that Glorfindel and other Elves were able to perceive Frodo's specialness from the start.

A nice reversal of Frodo's first impression of Glorfindel, when he was half in the wraith world and saw him as he appears "on the Other Side," as a blazing light among the shadowy mortals. Rowan, I'd like to nominate some of your pieces for the Middle-earth Fan Fiction Awards. If that's OK with you, I'll need to provide them with your email addy. Should I use the one on this site? I remember you saying you didn't check it that often... Author Reply: I am suitably floored. Yes, go ahead and nominate me. *beams* (what am I going to say, no? LOL!) Go ahead and use the addy on this site. I'm checking it more often now that I'm posting a drabble more or less weekly. And thanks!

Now, this is perfection, Rowan. Oh, how I can see this reasoning. Author Reply: *looks around nervously* Don't tell the Legolas fans, but...I used to wish Glorfindel was in the Fellowship instead. *ducks the arrows*
