| I'm glad Frodo was able to enjoy the feast. It was wise of Aragorn to sit the Ring-bearer in between himself and Sam and have a person sitting across who would not trouble the hobbits so about their journey. His concern for them was very endearing too: "Eat what you can, but don’t overdo it. I know it’s been a while, but you are still healing.” I really liked the part with Merry and I especially loved how you had Frodo unconsciously groping for the Ring. It's become such a habit for him that he doesn't even realize he's doing it, or that his cousin is greatly upset by it. Merry needs to be more understanding of what Frodo went through, however. By that I mean, that he must realize that in carrying the Ring for so long and at the height of its power, Frodo is not able to just give up all thought of it instantly. He knows on some level that Ring is gone, but it was taken violently from him and Frodo is not yet accepting that the Ring is gone on a sub-conscious level yet. I really would have liked to have heard Frodo's response to Merry's question, to see how he would have handled that. *grin* I'm looking forward to more, Elanor, and I'm greatly enjoying this tale.
