| Only, the crown is not quite his to give. From the way the meaning of the King's office described ITB, the crown would be far more important in Faramir's eyes when his own life, even as Steward's life. Author Reply: I'm quite sure Faramir is very aware of just how important the office of King is, this is just my attempt to show his personal feelings as opposed to his duty,as he knows it is only thanks to Aragorn that he is alive to bring out the crown.
