The mothers must have been terrified indeed! And while youngsters sleep by streams their elders search everywhere and are frightened out of their wits. Poor Eglantine and Stelliana, not to mention Esme, hiding from her fear in the caring for the others. Have a wonderful Fourth. Have a barbecue with our clients, and get to work all night tomorrow. BUT, I get Friday off, although I have to go in Saturday morning at seven. Such tradeoffs we do for one another.... Love to the girls, hubby, and the Writing Partner! Heh! Author Reply: I know that horrible feeling in the pit of the stomach... poor mums. Hope you have a wonderful BBQ. We haven't quite decided where to go on this sweltering day. Have spent the morning housecleaning and don't know yet what to do for evening--wherever we go it's sure to be packed with people and I'm not much for crowds, though I truly love fireworks. (Wish we knew someone with a houseboat by the River... the display is supposed to be the biggest ever this year.)

Whee!! Yaaay!! Uh...oh...I mean, poor Stelliana and Esmeralda and Eglantine. Yes, that's what I meant! So worried about those little straying lads! This really makes up for the way they never knew Pip was gone in "A Healer's Tale"! And it's a lovely birthday present to see it updated! Thanks, ever so, Lin dear! Author Reply: *hugs* Happy birthday! (My goodness, the gift that just keeps on giving... here's hoping it's finished before the *next* birthday rolls around.) You're most welcome!
