Loved this. The hope and calm reassurance Arwen gives Aragorn/Estel. And how he, the future King, a fierce and valiant warrior received it in his sorrow, like a child. I like that contrast. And that makes him so human. I like the love you showed in this chapter, and how Arwen says it is not weakness but strength. What Aragorn even told Éowyn in the previous chapter, that the empathy she feels, and the sorrow, the love for her people, is strength. In the end that was the strength of the fellowship and how they prevailed and succeeded, it was through friendship and love that they won against hate and destruction. |
