Author Reply: What I found difficult, Larner, was the fact that his friends didn't understand him at all. And yet, I found it hard to understand him. For wasn't the Shire why he went to Mordor? And it was still held in siege by the very forces of Mordor. Very sad times - and for those sad times to be in the Shire made it doubly, no quadruply more difficult and sad. | |

| I really like your drabbles. I came back and read the new ones when you had updated, and I don't think I have ever done that before, not even to read the new chapters in one story. Author Reply: Thank you very much indeed. I will continue to post these for a couple more weeks. I've got a truckload that I've done over the past years and finally found Stories of Arda - where I can place them all in one nice little cupboard for my own enjoyment.
