If it only could have been this way! Very glad indeed. But still he was there, in heart and I'm sure knew everything, even if he couldn't actually see it. Cute that he knows of his new nieces and nephews even before Rose does. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Ah, what a delight, to have Frodo coming home just in time to be there for Rose's pregnancy with Frodo-lad. What a joy for all four! Home indeed. Author Reply: Yes, well I looked at the timing of things, and I realized that it would have to be that way! And of course, it gave Frodo the perfect excuse to leave Sam at home with Rose, LOL!

Yes! That one, lol. *sigh* That is another sweet and wonderful tale with Merry and Estella. Gosh -- was it that long ago -- Challenge 11? And I'll take the opportunity here that my swiss-cheese memory let slip yesterday, but I saw Merry and Estella's wedding contract on LJ and it's just beautiful!! The green and gold knotwork is exquisite, as is the little Shire portrait in the upper left corner. I loved every single detail about it! Author Reply: I can't believe I did not answer this! And it's been a whole year!!! I am so pleased that you loved the document. I had a blast with it!

NO!!! **Gasps** This isn't the END, is it??? I was *so* into this most wonderful universe you created! There *must* be more to tell. Doesn't Frodo develop a friendship with a spinster or (heaven forbid) get married?? Doesn't he ever have little ones of his own? LOL, I mean, if you're going AU with Frodo, may as well go all the way with it. :-) You have a marvelous, fantastic way of spinning a brilliant story! You know, the "cherry" on top of the Ice-cream Sundae would have been if you had added a link to that glorious story of Merry and Estella's "morning after" you wrote some time ago. :-) Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful Post-Quest Travellers. I really enjoyed reading every single tale. Author Reply: Well, it *is* the end of *this* story! But there are several "Eucatastrophe" stories in the Alternate Universe section of my chronology--including the first one, which actually takes place a few years later than this. In point of fact, all of them take place later than this one except the Galadriel drabble in "Alphabet". No, my Frodo never weds, but he is quite happy to be "Uncle Frodo" to his friend's children, as you might see in some of the other "Eucatastrophe" stories. You mean this one? Oh, I was able to get the last couple of chapters in this afternoon :) You really have quite a talent for detail. I can always see things so clearly when you write them, I loved how you described the wedding and Estella, the marriage lines, everything! It is lovely that Frodo got to be there and Gandalf, that they could see Merry happy and everything would have made things better for everyone else as well! I loved the epilogue with Rose and Frodo. I like that Rose remembered that Frodo had predicted a boy next. Wonderful! What a happy ending to such a neat story! Thank you! Author Reply: Why, thank you! I always worry that I put in *too much* detail, so it's nice to know when I've got it right! And I'm glad you liked the marriage lines--I had so much fun doing those!! This AU is a lot of fun for the people who live in it, I think! And I'm so glad you liked the epilogue as well--Rose is a very sharp lass, I do think!

How I wish he could have come home like this, healed and joyful. And to see Merry married must have been so joyful! Thanks. Author Reply: It would have been delightful for us no doubt, and for him as well. I think that seeing Merry wed would have been one of the dearest memories of his life.

Life was good, and only getting better. Home - yes! A lovely AU Dreamflower and a most satisfying ending. I have enjoyed every word of this. Author Reply: I'm so glad you did enjoy it! It was a lot of fun to write: this universe always is.

Wonderful epilogue, Dreamflower! I don't think the "Eucatastrophe Universe" has come to an end, though! And I hope to read more about it in the future. Rosie is clever indeed! I don't know if she already felt that she was with child, but she certainly remembered that Frodo had said the next child would be a lad, Frodo-lad, to be precise! And he will be right! I remember a time nearly three years ago when a good friend of mine came for a visit and excused herself rather quickly to go to the bathroom. That was when my suspicion started ;-) And I was right! Her little daughter is now two years old and a real sunshine :) Author Reply: No, it hasn't come to an end at all. In fact, I *am* working on something else with it already, but *that* one is going to need a *lot* of preparation before it is posted anywhere. No, she didn't know herself yet. But she remembered that Frodo had known about Elanor, and she remembered what he'd said about a lad. That's a cute story--I'm sure that kind of thing happens a lot between friends who know one another well--being able to guess, I mean.

Ah, no waiting for the next challenge this time! *beams* Loved it! Rose is an intelligent lass, guessing correctly only from the smiles that she's carrying another child and even the gender. Only a pity this was the last chapter. I truly enjoyed this tale, and watching a happy, healed Frodo at Merry's wedding and hope you'll feel tempted to write more of this AU from time to time. Author Reply: No, no more waiting. This particular "Eucatastrophe" story is ended, and the next challenge will be something else entirely. Well, Rose remembers when she had Elanor, and the looks Frodo had given her then, so she has some experience of that *particular* smile--especially when he's trying to keep her from noticing it. And I'm sure she watched his face carefully, to see how he responded when she said "brother or sister", LOL! Rosie's a very clever lass! I will definitely return here from time to time--I have another one in the planning and development stage right now, but it will be a long time before *that* one is ready to post!!
