| You took what was a odviously a painful experience for you, and your mother and put it into a story which can serve to help others. I am very proud of you. | Ah, a most proper resolution to a most difficult problem--accepting the loss of that which has given us the most fulfillment through the loss of a beloved family member. And Estel himself is able to rejoice because his mother holds on and is able at last to embrace hope--and Hope--once more. Author Reply: Thanks, Larner. I'm glad you think the resolution is proper. There's no way I could write *too* happy of an ending because Gilraen still has so much to work through. But at the same time, I wanted to leave the House of Elrond basking in a glimmer of hope.
