khazar, sorry if I'm mistaken. But is this you who beta-ed my story? I've just sent my sample story to this site. Hope they like it! BTW, what an idea of a story you have here!

Author Reply: No, I don't believe I beta-ed your story. Sorry!
But I am glad you like what you've seen here. Keep reading!

I have been eyeing this story for weeks now, trying to decide if I want to read it because I am so far behind. But I have finally decided to take the plunge because I've heard such good things. And I have to say the opening is scary. On to the next chapter.

You realize that I am having to read ahead elsewhere *grin*.

I had only skimmed the prologue the first time, and now I reread it, having read ahead to know a little about the Queen of Angmar. This was absolutely chilling, seeing the wastelands and the abandoned castle through your descriptions.

This statement struck me: 'Had not Glorfindel explored these very rooms? He had been unwilling, or unable, to open this door. If the great and wise were reluctant to do so, then surely, they reasoned, this small band of mercenaries could not be blamed for leaving it in peace.' Since I already am rather attached to Ariashal, knowing that it was my mighty and brave Glorfindel who fought the Witch-King is going to create some conflict. If an elf as mighty as a Maia didn't dare open the dare, then one must wonder at the power of the magic behind it.

So they tried to breach her grave? Again, having read ahead and now looking back, the power with which he sealed her grave speaks to me of his love for her. I am curious to see if I am right.
