Water goblins? How fascinating. And, like most orcs, interested in how their captures might taste more than anything else. At least they're not after the Ring--not yet, at least. And that they have adapted to water is wonderful.

Noooooooooo!!! They can't eat Frodo! I know he's young and tender and all that but he doesn't have enough meat on his bones, not for a proper hobbit, anyway. Poor lad.

Eeeewwww! Poor Frodo! A hideous fate to have to contemplate. Yet, it is good they seem to know nothing of the Ring. Edge of the seat stuff here, Budgie! I love how you have Gimili keeping the hobbits busy, yet Frodo is not far from their thoughts. Very Well Done!

The good news is: the perpetrators aren't after the Ring! The bad news is: they want to eat Frodo! Oooh, waterfolk as bad guys: very interesting! *rubs hands together in glee* Merry may get to use his mad water skillz after all!

Oh dear! Water goblins! Never heard of them before. But if Bilbo knows about them, surely Gandalf does as well! It's just typical of Frodo to treat his enemies respectfully, even if he's nearly unable to manage a bow. But unfortunatley he found out very soon that his captors are only interested in food! I really hope that Aragorn and Boromir will rescue him very soon! Frodo is unarmed, so what should he do against those goblins. Maybe he could use the Ring? But I'm not sure if he would do that!

Whoo hoo! Does happy goblin dance! I just was looking for this tale the other day - wondering if I had missed an update... but no! Here it is. A great chapter too. Boromir and Aragorn swimming to save Frodo. Legolas trying to plan what next. The Hobbits frightened and Frodo in incredible danger. Lots of tension here - thanks so much for the update!

Oh dear! Poor Frodo! Just meant to be meat on the menu! I do hope that Aragorn and Boromir hurry up--I'm not supposing this bunch of orclets will be planning to waste a lot of time fattening Frodo up! Very wise of Gimli to keep the other hobbits busy--they are not going to be very good at waitning around for long. Hopefully Gandalf can keep them in check. I do hope we find out what happens next soon!

Poor Frodo, ONLY being intended for Goblin supper is not good news !The others are very brave in their rescue attempts.

Water-goblins: now *that's* something (technically non-canonical) that I find entirely believable for Middle-earth. [Don't mind me, I've just returned to reading ff.net after an absence of a couple of years -- the general AU-ness has increased by a factor of ten, and ... well, I'd rather not think about it. How wonderful to be here instead, reading the good stuff!] Poor, poor Frodo. Wet, freezing, sick, bleeding ... and about to be eaten! But how very refreshing that *this* batch of Budgie-monsters isn't interested in the Ring.

Ah. Have been waiting for an update to this one. I love your little details, like the black specks in the water, and Aragorn's practicality (They have their uses) and Boromir's (I suggest we ask the last survivor). Ai, poor Frodo, seems to have landed in dire straits, indeed.
