Cedric is a bit thick with the heat, I think! He truly thinks merely "talking" to Pervinca's going to get through to her? And love the discussion of the dress and poor Fendon's wants and dislikes! Heh! Author Reply: Thick with the heat, in more ways than one! ;) He's certainly not thinking clearly at all, or he would realize that no amount of "talking" will get through to Pervinca's soft side. Pervinca truly does know how to be persistant. By the time the wedding arrives, they're all going to be cringing every time Pervinca says "cream". :D It's just a good thing Fendon isn't around for all this planning, or he'd be walking away with a headache of his own!

“You’re the one who insisted on teaching her to talk,” Pimpernel teased gently when Eglantine rubbed the bridge of her nose LOL!!! After having read the second part of this chapter I can understand very well, why the lads are that determined to set their plans in motion as soon as possible! I'm looking forward to reading more! Author Reply: Pervinca is quite a spitfire! She'll say the darnedest things! The lads have had to put up with a lot from her over the years, but she's had her share of harrassment from them also. Both camps are justified. ;) The lads will be going to work on their plan soon, but even the best laid plans go astray and they really didn't stop to think this one through. :D

Aargh! I am interrupted only half-way through the chapter by a dog that *must* go out, and then glancing at the clock I see I have only six hours of sleep to look forward to, if I go to bed immediately after... But scrolling quickly to the bottom to leave this word of encouragement, I see the equally encouraging "To be continued" and so I am satisfied to read more later, at a more opportune time. You have such a way with words! Your descriptions put me into the scene, that I can see everyone and their surroundings in a most satisfactory manner, and your turns of phrase are wonderful. Case in point: cautionary tale of curious lads and poultry products But no time for more. Looking forward to the rest of this chapter and whatever is to follow. Author Reply: Thank you Lindelea! I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far, interruptions not withstanding.
