does he have to survivie, if he seuvives he might B-R-E-E-D, and you know mold is tough to kill if it gets a toehold. Author Reply: LOL! Cedric is rather deplorable. Hopefully, this will teach him what he needs to know about respecting lasses. If not, well, he won't be able to breed if he never manages to get the ban lifted. :D

Read it all in one go. I love your Pervinca and Ev romance/war. It's so real and your Pervinca is such a strong character. I like that very much. I really felt sorry for Pip when Pervinca confronted him about the note. LOL He was innocent this time and he still had to hear about it. For me the topper to the whole thing was this line!((“It worked. The egg fried almost instantly, but then it caught fire and exploded. A piece of the yolk burned itself into his eye and to this day, the healers can’t get it out,” Ferdibrand elaborated with much gusto.)) and the fact that Eglantine made that up was priceless! I wonder how many of these she's told and how many Pippin still believes? LOL Author Reply: There's certainly no holding Pervinca back. She'll say what she likes, when she likes. Even I can't seem to detract her sauciness. ;) Pippin always seemed to get blamed for everything, doesn't he? But he wasn't entirely innocent, even if he meant no harm in telling Ferdi about his sister's plans for the day. LOL! I'm sure Eglantine has made up all sorts of crazy and elaborate tall tales over the years to keep Pippin out of (some) trouble. And Pippin's just gullible enough to believe it! After all, his mother wouldn't lie to him, right? ;) Thanks for reading! I'm glad you enjoyed the story!

What an awful lad Cedric is! I really liked your take on this story. Pervinca being a "shrew" and the lads all being afraid of her. Poor, Percina! Really she isn't all the different from other lasses, she just wasn't quite as taken with the lads yet! I loved how things turned out for everyone involved. Cedric got what he deserved and it seems Pervinca and Everard might be on an altogehter different track :) Thank you for the lovely story! It was quite nice and greatly appreciated :) Author Reply: Every society has to have a lad who just doesn't get it. Thankfully, the hobbit lasses only have to put up with one. Cedric will at least think twice before harrassing the lasses of Great Smials again. Pervinca might not be a 'proper' lass, but she's still a lass. Deny it though she might, she does want all those things that other lasses wants. If she can manage to find a lad who isn't quite as onery at the others, there might be hope for her. And for Everard, who really isn't as bad as Pervinca thinks he is. ;) Thanks for reading!

This was a neat story. I liked how you showed that even Pervinca has insecurities, and that her tough exterior is only there to protect the scared little hobbit lass inside. I'm also glad to see that Cedric got his comeuppance. He deserved it, the rascal! Well done. Author Reply: Pervinca has been a terror from a very early age, but it's only been recently that her antics have taken a darker tone. She was hurt and she's not one to stick her hand in the fire a second time. Still, she does need to learn that there are lads who can be trusted. Cedric won't be living this one down any time soon! His reputation has been marred and he knows it. :D Thanks for reading! I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

*grin* What a lovely little treat to come home from Scotland to! You know, I do love your feisty Pervinca, but I particularly love your devious Everard! He's a sharp one, he is, and is going to be quite worthy of Pervinca when the two of them finally realize that the feelings that lie underneath their fireworks are mutual. Cedric's comeuppance was well-deserved. I do think, though, that at some point in time you could reveal the outcome--perhaps a throwaway line in one of your other stories or something. Does he *ever* learn his lesson about respecting lasses, or will he end his life a lonely bachelor? Great story! Author Reply: *grins* Pervinca and Everard are so much fun to write, and Cedric is a hoot as well, for all that he's a prick. Everard had this one figured out pretty much from the get-go and he didn't waste any time in stringing his friend along. There will be payback of some sort for this, without a doubt! Cedric well be burning over this one for awhile, but knowing him, he will figure out a loophole before too long. Mora though won't let him forget his debt to the lasses of the Smials, who have to put up with him on a daily basis. She'll keep him on track! I'm glad you enjoyed the story! And welcome back from Scotland! (hugs)

Haha! That serves him right! It will take Cedric are very long time to break the "courtship ban", I wager. But what's more important, this day promises to be the beginning of a friendship that will turn into love eventually, for Ev and Per! Thank you very much GamgeeFest, for this wonderful story :) You made my day! Author Reply: Cedric will be quick to start helping the lasses in his efforts to fill up that vase, but he won't get anywhere until he remembers the "selfless" part of the deal. Or, until he finds a loophole! At least he'll be more honest about his courtships from here on out, if nothing else. It will take a long time before Everard figures out what Ferdi already knows: that he is besotted with Pervinca. It will naturally take even longer for Pervinca to realize that she reciprocates. Once they do though, you can bet their love will be just as fierce as their 'wars'. :D Thank you Andrea for reading!

A most satisfying ending, GamgeeFest. Oh, how satisfying! The OTHER lasses managed to put Cedric in his much-needed place, Everard is starting the much-needed truce with Pervinca that will lead them to the marriage they deserve, and the other lads have learned the truth about Cedric's real exploits, which are nowhere as impressive as his boasts! Oh, how very wonderful! Beautifully done! Author Reply: Thank you Larner! I was a bit worried about this ending, so I'm glad you enjoyed it! Everard had this all planned out from the beginning and his reputation for getting the job done comes through. The lasses (and lads) will be talking about this one for a year and a day! It will be a long time yet before Everard realizes he is besotted with Pervinca, and even longer for her to realize she returns those feelings. Those two crazy kids were meant for each other. :) Cedric might have been a *tad* bit more successful than Mora and the lasses have let on, but he was in no position to contradict them! Now no one will believe his boasts, and the ban should be quite humbling for him - until he finds a loophole anyway. He will have much to get back at Everard for. ;)

This is superb GamgeeFest!! Absolutely superb! I'm sorry to see it end . . . or does it? Have you written further about Ev and Per? If you have, let me know as I've missed it, if not, you should :-) Author Reply: Thank you so much, Pearl! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :D I don't have much else on Pervinca and Everard yet, but this is a prequel of sorts to "The Trouble With Love", which picks up a few years later. I think you will enjoy that one also. ;)
