This was a very unusual story, but I liked it - eventually. At first I just thought it strange, but when the dream began, I was really drawn into it. Good job! Author Reply: Thank you so much, Virtuella :-) I've written a few that start out strange that I hope eventually draw the reader in. I'm glad this one eventually hooked you :-) It is one of my favorites.

How the heck did I miss this one?? I think you did a great job with the elements given; I liked your use of the mythologies of the Seven Sisters. It lends that "other-world-ish" element to the tale. :-) Pippin is a sweet, mannerly gentlehobbit -- he should have "deeply" bit her lip in response. :-X Author Reply: It is easy to do, I miss more than my share of stories - no worries :-) I'm so glad you enjoyed this story. Of the two written from these elements, this is my favorite. I totally agree with you - he should have! LOL

Such a perfect story for the season! The dream, the missing stars and seven sisters and seven lasses and green scarf left in his hand--all of it is perfectly blended to leave a feeling of eeriness and yet rightness. Excellently done, madam. Author Reply: Thank you Larner :-) I'm glad you felt it warranted an "Excellently done"!

Well, it was rather mean of the seven lasses to trap Pippin in that passage. And then the kiss! I can understand his reaction. Whisky is a very powerful liquid! If Pippin hadn't found the green scarf when he awoke, I would have blamed it all on the whisky ;-) But now the question remains: Was it more than a dream? I don't expect an answer, though! That's for the reader to decide. (Devil's Tower is very impressive. I found a picture at Wikipedia.) Author Reply: Indeed, Andrea, it is for you and others to decide. Those lasses were quite awful, trapping him and all. Thank you so much :-)

What a nightmare for poor Pip! Sometimes we all need reminders to appreciate what -- and who -- is in our life. Author Reply: Thank you shirebound, we all have trouble with saying things we don't really mean.
