Good to see Faramir release some of his grief, and start to act like a child again. He and Indis have a long and lonely road ahead of them, I think. Author Reply: Hi, Raksha. Thanks for the comment. I know some readers might become distressed over the oft-mentioned Boromir in these first chapters, but there is no way that Faramir will not be thinking of him. As one of the characters states, Boromir is in the very fabric of the Citadel. Eventually, more and more of the 'child' Faramir will return.

Yes, the healing comes at last, and for the moment, at least, all begin to calm down again. Author Reply: Ah, Larner - yes, healing comes... but with any wound that is very deep, it must be watched and tended too. Aragorn has started the process; Faramir's family and friends must finish it. If they pay attention!

Good! Faramir is allowed to be a little boy! His Regent is wise and wonderful. The roosters never crowed. That is also good. Things are set in order for the next set of...whatever...more? I like what Indis seid about Thorongil, too. This is going to be very different, intrigingly different. Author Reply: Well, Neilia, the roosters who were there didn't crow - there's a truckload in the rest of the army...... And Faramir - in the midst of everything - will still be a boy... at least, for the moment. Glad you're ready for the ride! Adn thanks for reading, but especially for commenting!
