| Oh, Lindelea, this is perfect! Yes, I can see the anxious young gardener becoming the wise, now-prepared one who comes back, accepting that the world has changed and hoping things aren't so different that they cannot be recognized or set right. And love the interaction and acceptance one sees between Sam and Butterbur, or Sam and Nob. Lovely! Author Reply: Thanks! How I do love hobbits... wouldn't it be something to live in Bree where the two races lived peacefully side-by-side?
