I still say this dream sequence is some of your best writing and imagery I've seen from you! That says a lot considering how high I hold your writing. I was afraid to sleep after reading this chapter! LOL! Thankfully, I didn't suffer any ill effects, except to now be on the edge of an anxiety attack worried about Legolas and Thranduil! This Renna seems to have some kind of powers she shouldn't have as a Mortal, and that greatly disturbs me. Love the discussion between Legolas and Gimli and Legolas' seeking Gimli out. I love the dwarf! And I loved Legolas' blushing as he realized rushing home on the excuse to fetch Durfinwen would cause a stir. *grin* Great chapter! I eagerly await more, though with much trepidation!

Hmm. I wonder who the 'she' from Legolas' dream is - Durfinwen? Renna? Ugh *shivers* what a creepy dream. Poor Legolas. I would not be going back to bed any time soon after having a snake slither down my throat. I like the way the dream was written, it's all disconnected and hazy but flows towards one concluding point, like all good dreams should :) I'm excited, as ever, for the next chapter to see where this is all going.

OOOH, Dark and foreboding, I quite like dark and foreboding. This chapter has certainly given us something to ponder and to wonder about. I hope you don’t damage poor Legolas and his family too badly. Just enough to be interesting, not enough to hurt too much. Did you drop a tiny hint that he may be just a little interested in Durfinwen, or it is too much to hope for that his heart may have softened? This part made me laugh: What in the name of the twelve lower levels of Mandos do you mean. Is that anything like the seven circles of Hell, and perhaps a more thorough description could be in order? Anyway you have set the stage for an interesting romp; I have bought my ticket and will stay on board.

What dire dreams those are! The serpent-images reminded me of the Green Lady in C.S. Lewis' The Silver Chair, very disturbing and evocative! And yay! for Gimli. He is practical even in his acceptance of the mystical--he finds no incongruity in heeding dreams, but he also thinks about the logistics of the thing! Good old Gimli!

Gasp! NO WAY. Rouret, I have no words for how many kinds of awesome this story is. No words! Okay, there might be words. Like flawless. Flawless is a great word, because it becomes increasingly obvious to me that your talents greatly exceed the world of fanfiction. Not that my opinion is worth more than anyone else's, but there are only two other fanfic writers I've read who I would say that of so I hope you don't think I say that without having throught it through. And, I suppose every review I leave for you from now on will be some variation of this now, because it is simply a fact that whenever I finish reading something of yours, the most overwhelming feeling I am left with is that you are among the best writers I have had the pleasure to read in the world of fanfiction, and I want you to know how much I appreciate that you write for us. :) Okay, back to the chapter: That was a very chilling read. I wish we could fast-forward to the part where Malbeach and his wife get what's coming to them, because I am already sure I will enjoy that part immensely. Also, the imagery of the snake was particularly well-done, as was Legolas' sense of unease about his horrific dreams. And gasp! I am so pathetic now -- even the slightest mention of Durfinwen excites me (same for Galas). Don't hate me! Anyway. That is all. Best of luck with the next chapter!

Wow, you really picked up the pace in this one. Very intense, very vivid. A line that really stuck out at me was when Legolas had just woken up and was startled by the ladybird striking the window. It was such a real moment, when nerves are on edge and the adrenaline is pumping and the mind is expecting an attack. My heart rate was up there right with his! I very much love your portrayal of Gimli--not the grunting half-wit that Legolas puts up with, but a wise, eloquent, decidedly down-to-earth and realistic Dwarf! I think this Gimli would be fun to be friends with. Gloin's letter was also good. Straight and to the point. Not as pretty as Thranduil's, but overall maybe more helpful. The conflict that you're setting up here is very compelling. There's so much potential horror, but still the vision brings hope that something can be done. Wonderful writing. I really enjoy the language and characters. You go so in depth into the tiniest details that it's just a pleasure to read (even though I'll be on the edge of my chair until the next update).

What a great chapter! The dream was really terrifying, you really know haw to write, it make me scared. So they are going to Eryn Lasgalen, it seems that there is something rotten in Esgaroth, missing people, and that dream...dead bodies, screams, the ring and that woman-snake… Do you know that I check almost every day for updates? Please, update soon, I can hardly wait, this is an incredible story...I'm at work, so I should being productive and not reading and reviewing good stories. Thanks, Fantasia
