Oh I´ve read this story before. Thought I had reviewed it. Oh well..ones getting old. I like this story very much and was very amused ( sorry Tulip I know it hurt badly, but still..) about imagining that little splint on her tail. Hehe. Author Reply: Thank you again for reading and reviewing this, I really appreciate you comments! So glad you enjoyed it.

Ouch! Poor Pip - and poor tulip, breaking her nose. I hope Eglantine can mend it. I love your Paladin - just as mischievous as his son, and embroidering the tale just a bit! I'm begining to wonder if Pal does secretly want another Sammy-Lambie! Author Reply: Thank you! Hmm, I gotta wonder about Pad, too...there certainly was a twinkle in his eye when Eglantine agreed to make another Sammy-Lambie, huh? I'm so pleased you liked my characterization of Paladin, and very glad you took the time to tell me - thank you much, again!

Aha! So Paladin changed the story a bit, huh! I just reread it, and still get a chuckle out of it. Now, to find a new button for Tulip's nose. And to think of Pippin carrying both a piglet and a Sammy-Lambie! Heh! Author Reply: Larner, thank you again for your very kind comments on my story! I appreciate it so much!

"Well, I know without a doubt now where Pippin gets most of his imagination and his ability to talk non-stop." Eglantine chuckled Me, too! LOL!!! Your Paladin is wonderful! And he's a good storyteller. The version he told Pippin was much more entertaining than the real one. And his son will remember it, I'm quite sure. Poor Tulip, though! A literally broken nose - that must be painful indeed! Author Reply: Thank you so much for your kind and generous words! And I'm especially very pleased to hear you like my Paladin - I've always pictured him to be a great deal like his mischievous son! Don't worry, Tulip's gonna get a new nose, heh!

Oh that Paladin! *shakes head* I don't blame Pippin for asking for a story with no moral to it! LOL! I did enjoy the differences between Paladin's version of Sammy-Lambie's fate and Eglantine's version--that was very funny indeed. Author Reply: Heh, thank you! In *my* universe I picture Paladin as, in some ways, having been much like his son while growing up, but as an adult, maybe a little chagrined to have anyone know it. Either way, he can't resist a "teaching moment" whenever one appears! Maybe it's because he remembers all too well how easily a wee lad can get into trouble. Glad you enjoyed the differences between the stories, and thank you for reviewing!

Tulip perched next to him, a matching binding adorning her hoof, a bandage on her snout, and a tiny splint wrapped around her tail. Adorable, as always. And that's a perfect story for Pippin to think over while he and Tulip are confined to bed. Author Reply: Hehehe, glad you liked it Shirebound! I kept imagining that picture of Tulip in my head and just went with it.

Bravo Cathleen!! A charming tale and wonderfully told. I love Paladin's embellishments when telling the tale to Pippin so that he came out looking better than he did in the correct version. The version Pip got is much more exciting! *applause* Author Reply: Thank you Pearl! I'm very pleased you enjoyed it, and I so appreciate your suggestions!
