Great use of the prompt! Very creative! And I loved 'ada (and Erestor) are going to be cross.' You can almost see them shrugging, like, 'oh well' and happily trotting away. But when I was reading this it made me think--I wonder what the adult POV would be (beyond the mess). How would the older Elves respond to playing at the Fall of Gondolin. Of course it is endearing to see children at this type of play. But I wonder if it would be a little heart-breaking too? Might be an interesting, if difficult to capture, POV.

How could the twins resist such games? It's not in a boy's nature - and there are two of them! But 'tables, chairs and stools' ... Well as long as it's only furniture. I think Elrond might come closer to snapping if it were books and scrolls. Author Reply: Despite their dangerous games and vivid imaginations, the twins have a healthy sense of self-preservation. They know better than to damage Elrond's books!

This is FABULOUS! Oh my gosh... at first, I was afraid Imladris was under attack! And then.... well, it was great fun. I would have loved to have joined them! 'Course at my age, I'd probably have broken something! :-) Author Reply: Under attack? Yes, by over-imaginative children and a grown elf who really should know better by now :>)

Nice extension at the end! Ah yes, what is Ada's anger (or Erestor's) after surviving Gondolin? *grin* Author Reply: I think Elrond and Erestor are used to this sort of thing - especially when Glorfindel's behind it!

Oh yes, they are alive - though somehow I have the feeling they will need a certain balrog-slayer to protect them from Ada when he finds out *how* they did act out the fall of Gondolin *lol* Author Reply: Their parents are used to them acting out Glorfindel's stories! I've expanded the story a little now as well.

And Nana and Ada are likely to wish to remove their heads! Ah, children's imaginations! Heh! Author Reply: Oh, yes - they're in trouble now! I've expanded the drabble now to include extra details.

Nice use of that closing line! Author Reply: And I suspect Ada is on the way now ... Thanks! The line could have been very angsty, but it seemed to fit in with the twins' games as well :>)

Well here I came thinking this was a serious story(Tee Hee!) I guess I was suprised! Elflings!!! LOL Hugs Deb the Imp Author Reply: Serious? With the summary about Glorfindel's bad influence? *Grin* I can do serious, but this line just leant itself to elfling games!

Oh my! What a mess the destruction of that city was! teehee They may have escaped alive, but for how long? Author Reply: *Grin* What will happen once Elrond or Erestor arrive? As usual, it's all Glorfindel's fault ..

Oh Jay, this was too precious for words! How cute those two are as elflings and I'm sure the crashing of the "towers" coming down brought 'the enemy' running to them! Ces Author Reply: Oh, yes - I'm sure Elrond or Erestor will soon be on the scene!
