I worked backwards through your library and found this one at the end. Lovely! LBJ

Beside him lay the light of his life.... I'm sure that for Faramir, Éowyn was indeed his light, both figuratively and for real. Lovely imagery of a time of peace after so long a time of horror.

dreams 'quickly forgotten' 'no longer having to struggle through the fume and fug of Mordor's making' 'seemed too soft'... 'sleeping rough' This line killed me - 'along with his beloved, lost Rangers' 'never again to waken in darkness' I am so glad there was a happy ending for Faramir - I'm so glad Tolkien gave him Eowyn...... The Irish in me is making me step aside for a bit and sob over the loss - I'll pick up a beer in a moment or two and raise it in joy, but I need to sob for a moment..... Author Reply: I understand exactly what you mean. Even though Faramir was granted joy and honour for his sacrifices, the fact remains that he lost EVERYTHING... his parents, his brother, his Rangers. And I think that this is why he will never, ever take things such as love and light, his wife, his king, his principality and the loyalty of Beregond, and ever so many other things for granted for the rest of his time on Arda. Awww!!!!!! Yay for Fara and Eowyn!!!!! ^_^ Sweet story! Hugs and God bless, Kaylee!!!!!! Author Reply: Thank you. This was my first ever official drabble-type fic, and boy! It was a lot harder than I'd expected to write to fit the word count. I'm very happy with how it turned out, because it fit the image in my mind perfectly.

I see your Faramir, as with my Frodo, rests best knowing natural light can touch him ever. And such a light to waken to, there lying by his side.... Author Reply: It just seemed right to me that after dwelling so long under the Darkness of Mordor and struggling under the Darkness of the Black Breath, Faramir would crave light in all of its aspects. And the light of love is the brightest, after all. :) Thank you for letting me know you liked this.
