Just A Cold  by Aelaer 15 Review(s)

Whoo hoo! Aragorn to the rescue - nicely written!

Oh - I've forgotten Arwen in the midst of the battle - great conversation between her and Faramir - it was delightful. And poor Arwen - well, she must have known what she was getting into when she married him!

Author Reply: True. After all, he *is* the heir of Beren and Luthien, and Earendil, and Elros, and Amandil, Elendil, and Isildur... and more royal Dunedain who certainly had a rather rebellious streak! They couldn't have survived so long otherwise ;)

Ouch. Aragorn may feel not well already, but when Arwen is through with him, he will feel decidedly worse.

As for Aragorn's little outing, it was only to be expected that something would go wrong. Incidents like this one had to happen sometimes in inns, and of course Aragorn would be one of these to intervene and protect the ones not trained to fight. Well, at least he had the presence of mind to send the boy for the guard ... but that doesn't bode well. Four to one, and this one is ill ...

*runs off to next chapter* (being late in reading and reviewing has its advantages - particularly as far as cliffhangers go)

Author Reply: *snort* Strong wives are truly the most fearful things to men ;)

And naturally something had to go wrong. I love throwing Murphy's Law onto Aragorn. I am such a mean author to my characters.

And I very much agree with that last statement! Cliffhangers can be awful to wait on.

Nah, I also rather doubt that this will do poor Aragorn's headache any good. Good strategy here, and love the Queen seeking to find where her errant husband has gotten to this time! Wonderful! Heh!

Author Reply: Well, thank you, Larner. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Uh oh...He and his friends aren't dead, but once the Guard gets there and they realize just who they've attacked...They're going to wish they were. I'm thinking assult of the King pays a rather high penalty in Minas Tirith?

What a situation Aragorn's gotten himself into, but he couldn't turn away either. Can't blame Arwen for wanting to hit him upside the head right now...

Hope to see the next chapter up soon!! :o)

Author Reply: No kidding, though, to their credit, they didn't know he *was* king... (am I trying to defend these guys? *blink*) They're lucky that Aragorn is a merciful king.

Ooooooooooh he's going to get it this time. I wouldn't like to be in Aragorn's boots. If I were Aragorn, I would start figuring out how to protect my head once I got back to the Citadel.

He never learns, does he. No, he doesn't, and that's what I like about him. No matter what, he's always going to give his help to those who need it.

Great chapter, can't wait for the next one.

Author Reply: Step One: Don't step out of Citadel ;)

Thanks for your second! review. :P

Very nice...

Poor Aragorn, when he gets home Arwen is going to give him a piece of her mind. And Aragorn having to deal with the drunk and his friends on his own, its never boring around him.

great job..

Author Reply: Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed :)

If Arwen knew what kind of trouble Aragorn can get into in such a short period of time, she would put a sign of him,"please return, if found wondering arround"

Author Reply: LOL! I want to draw that now. What a great mental image.

Thank you for giving me a laugh, although you could see what would happen, events were played out with great timing.

As for the characters, you captured all the personalities expertly from Arwen and Faramir to Aragorn, the innkeeper and the cusomers. You could almost feel the atmosphere from the inn surround you. Aragorn's nature was brought to life and indeed his musings on being a hero are not something I have seen described before.

I look forward to your next chapter with eagerness.

Author Reply: Yes, I can be rather predictable... but I am glad that it was enjoyable, nonetheless. And I am so happy you enjoyed their characterizations! That makes me very happy :)

Geez. No good deed goes unpunished. I can't wait to see how Aragorn gets out of this mess. I'm hoping he doesn't get out of it with his disguise intact.

You have no idea how much that made me laugh evilly. Hope you enjoy this chapter, then ;)

It might not be helping the King's headache but I bet the drunk wakes up with a worse one.

Author Reply: *grin* How true, how true! Hangovers and head bumps are much worse ;)
