| Now there are 2 troll gangs and our heroes are back in the river! I just hope they don't suffer a near-drowning this time! On the plus side, at least Legolas seems to be a bit better now. And I'm still holding out the hope that their horses will turn up soon... Author Reply: I have every faith that they will find other ways of suffering. :o) Yes, the night spent in the shelter helped Legolas. He'll need his strenght, I'm sure. I still hold out hope for the horses, as well. | |

| ahhhh...these poor guys can't catch a break! Now there is sump and gang after them too :( Author Reply: Well, they get a night's sleep in the shelter. The plot bunny thinks that's enough of a break. :o) You know when it rains, it pours. Trolls, in this case. | |

| Hypothermia on top of concussion, sprained ankle, dislocated shoulder, and whatever else is going on! Gads, you are torturing our two beloved friends! Heh! Where are the bloomin' horses? Author Reply: OUch. It really sounds terrible when you list everything like that. They are hardy boys, though, so I'm sure they can take it. That sounds cruel, doesn't it? | Out of the frying pan into the fire. Or is that out of the trolls into the river. Talk about caught between a rock and a hard place. They are in it. One set of Trolls isn't enough?! Now they have 3 sets. Let the Tolls argue it out between themselves. What happened to the Trolls, in general after ROTK? Just wondered if you know. Looking forward to the next chapter. Hopefully it won't be to long in coming. Author Reply: I like the way you said it. They didn't have much choice, did they? I'd have done the same thing in their place. Aragorn had that idea, but unfortunately, the two groups can't get together. Tolkien never really went into much detail about the trolls. I honestly don't remember if the fate of any of the troll races (species ?) were mentioned. I'll update as soon as I can. | |
