| Trying to knock each other's teeth out! I had a feeling that was behind it! Lads eh! I loved Belladonna being 'economical' with the truth! My friend's daughter went away for a week with the school and sent her mother a series of postcards which were very similar! The truth only came out some months later. | The look of shock on her husband’s face was priceless. Belladonna had to fight down the urge to burst out in laughter. ROTFL!!! Never underestimate the imagination, or should we call it inventiveness, of children! I think Bungo learned a lesson, too ;-) Happy Mother's Day and Whitsuntide (I hope the translation is correct, in Germany it is called "Pfingsten".) Author Reply: Well, or what passes for "logic" with children. I think Bungo's learned to be careful about Baggins traditions, anyway, LOL! Happy Mother's Day to you as well! Over here, this day on the church calendar is called "Pentecost Sunday" (at least by Methodists), but personally, I like the old-fashioned sound of Whitsuntide better! | |

| Oh, Dreamflower--I'm laughing hysterically along with Belladonna! Who'd a-thunk? Oh, but this is priceless! Just hilarious, and so in keeping with children! Author Reply: Kids *do* get the darndest ideas sometimes, and they seem perfectly logical to them at the time. I will never forget my son and his friend, at 5, hiking off out of the subdivision and some distance along a major road to look for treasure--leaving me and his grandparents frantically searching for them! And why? Because they'd found a shovel. And if they found a shovel then there *had* to be treasure somewhere... | |
