Ah, so sweet, Cathleen! Paladin learns patience, and Pippin a different sort of patience. Author Reply: Yes indeed, father and son both learn important lessons on their journey. Thanks so much for continuing to read and comment, Bonnie!

This story is growing more and more interesting! So, the faerie folk was waiting for another hobbit lad to find his way into their realm? And that special lad was Pippin! Wow! And they know he has an important task to do in the future. What else do they know, I wonder? This is very mysterious! On the other hand, Paladin found out about his ancestor, too. And about that battle. I heard about that battle before, but I don't remember neither the source, nor the details. On the one hand the outcome is fascinating, and on the other hand it makes me shiver. Abiding by the historic agreement, they retreated underground and now embrace and care for all of nature within and without the Otherworld. They lived underground? How long? That must have been dreadful for people who love nature. Last, but not least I have to agree with the Voice of the Oak, Paladin and Pippin have much in common, but they are also very different! Can't wait for the next chapter :) Author Reply: Thank you, Andrea for continuing to follow this story! It is almost finished and some of your questions will be answered in the next chapter, which I will have posted before the end of next week!
